Frequently Asked Questions
We aim to provide answers to as many questions as possible
Are Russian Blues hypoallergenic?
No, however, they do produce less feline F1 which is a cause of allergy reaction to most people. As allergy sufferers ourselves, we love this breed as they do not affect us! You are welcome to test on yourself by visiting.
Do we transport the cats to you?
Generally, we recommend either coming to pick up your kitten directly from us, or travel and freight can be arranged at the buyer’s cost.
What sets us apart?
We breed all our cats with planned breeding to ensure the COI and genetics stay low. Long term, this aims to reduce complicated health and genetic issues that can lead to a premature death.
Are Russian Blues used and registered as assistance animals?
Generally, not in Australia, as this is restricted largely to guide dogs. We have had people register them as emotional support animals ect, however. They provide loving support and companionship that is unconditional!
Step One:
We get your information and add you to a waiting list, this can vary from 6-18 months (as are most breeders). We do a video call to ensure that you are comfortable with us as your preferred breeder, to meet the litters and assess suitability as an owner.
Step Two:
We then take a deposit; this is to secure your kitten. Once we have a successful mating and con confirm the gender and temperament requested, we will then look to make contact with prospective owners.
Step Three:
We will answer further questions whilst your kitten is getting ready to leave their mother. By 12-14 weeks you are ready to get your new family member!
